Community Events Grant Program

Applications for Australia Day 2025 are now open

The National Australia Day Council (NADC) – with the support of the Federal Government – provide funding each year to community groups and councils to support local participation in Australia Day activities.

These grants are to support inclusive events that allow communities to come together and reflect, respect and celebrate being part of a proud, ancient, multicultural nation that values every citizen.

This includes collaborations with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities on activities that acknowledge our history and the deep connection to Country that First Nations people have.

Since 2021, the NADC’s Australia Day Community Events Grant Program has helped deliver more than 1,500 community events, from Welcomes to Country to citizenship ceremonies, from morning teas to multicultural festivals.
